The Community Fleet of canoes and sailing dinghies was created by MARLENS, with generous donations from YANSEC (sailing dinghies) and Palm Equipment International Ltd (kayaks).
2 open canoes and 2 Pico dinghies increase the range of skills which can be taught.
Clevedon Sailing Club (our local experts in sailing) owns, maintains and operates the sailing dinghies of the Community Fleet on behalf of the community, as shown in the document below.
The fleet comprises 10 boats plus ancillary equipment (launching trolleys, safety equipment):
- 8 “Oppie” dinghies, for use only on the Marine Lake.
- 2 “Pico” advanced training dinghies, which can also be used on the open water.
Any organisation which would like to use the sailing dinghies should contact Clevedon Sailing Club.
Clevedon Canoe Club (our local experts in canoeing) maintains and operates the kayaks and canoes.
The fleet comprises 9 boats plus equipment.
- 7 kayaks
- 2 open canoes (Canadian style)
The canoe fleet is stored in the Community Boat Store.
Any organisation which would like to use the canoes should contact Clevedon Canoe Club.
